US Leads Global High-Value VC Investments in H1 2025
The United States solidified its dominance in venture capital during the first half of 2025, capturing 163 high-value deals worth over $80 billion. This represents nearly 80% of the global total, according to GlobalData's Deals Database.
Aurojyoti Bose, GlobalData's lead analyst, notes the US remains the epicenter of startup innovation. "The sheer volume of deals underscores the robustness of America's entrepreneurial ecosystem," he said. The country accounted for 60% of worldwide high-value VC transactions.
While China trails significantly behind, Bose highlights emerging opportunities in secondary markets. "As economic conditions evolve, underrepresented regions like India and the UK may see increased activity," he observed.
